Construcciones Mecánicas José Lazpiur, S.L.U. is a one hundred year old family-run company located in Bergara (Gipuzkoa, Spain). Four generations of the Lazpiur family have seen the business grow and develop, to become what it is today, a company specialising in two areas: forging tooling and machinery.
The company is run by the brothers Miguel and Agustín Lazpiur, the third generation. Miguel was Chairman of the Basque employers' association, Confebask, from 2005 to 2011, and Vice-chairman of the Spanish Employers' Organisation (CEOE) and that of Guipuzcoa (Adegi).
The company has two main lines of business: machinery construction and the production of precision tooling for cold, warm and hot forging. The Company works for automotive multinationals such as Daimler, Ford or Volkswagen, as well as for TIER 1 suppliers such as GKN and Lear amongst others. The company has a strong presence in the European and American markets. Lazpiur is present in 25 countries and is considered to be one of the leading global manufacturers in its sector.
Lazpiur is a customer-oriented company. Quality and service is, and always has been, one of its main priorities. Lazpiur operates in a number of sectors, including the automobile, household appliance, construction, railway sectors.
Lazpiur endeavours to ensure that its products are of the utmost quality by maintaining an ongoing technological innovation and improvement process, resulting in exports of around 70% of its turnover to countries throughout the world and to markets as demanding as Germany, France, USA and China.
Innovation is one of the company's cornerstones. In addition to the company's own development, Lazpiur also collaborates with a number of technology platforms, particularly with Tecnalia and IK4.
